Close the gun show loophole

SUPPORT

Co-sponsored legislation to close the gun show loophole (S. 890) in 2001.

Supported two ballot initiatives (Amendment 22 in Colorado and Measure 5 in Oregon) to mandate the same criminal background checks by unlicensed dealers at gun shows. Both Measures passed in 2000.
